*** FRAUD WARNING ***
Don't Get Scammed by Individuals Posing as Legitimate Mystery Shopping Companies
**ALERT**
Someone claiming to be with our company (Sinclair Customer Metrics) is sending email from an AOL account (sinclairshoppers@aol.com). If you have received such an email, please notify us immediately.
This is a fraudulent email; it did not come from us.
The person sending the email is trying to obtain contact information from potential/new mystery shoppers. The email describes a mystery shop which requires the mystery shopper to cash a phony cashier's check that is mailed to them and then to mail the cash back to the scammers.
THIS IS A SCAM. Do not cash the cashier's check or you could be held legally liable. Please contact Sean Barna at sean@ssanet.com if you are sent an email from sinclairshoppers@aol.com (or any other address that uses a free email service).
We are currently working with the authorities to stop the scammers.
TIPS FOR AVOIDING MYSTERY SHOP SCAMS
- >> NEVER pay money to become a mystery shopper, or get registered in some "Mystery Shopper Database", or to get "certified" as Mystery Shopper.
- >> Be VERY suspicious of emails originating from free public emails services such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, Gmail, etc.
- >> Use common sense. Avoid suspicious jobs and insure you are dealing with a reputable company and not an individual.
